Bedford is home to The Patriot statue, housed at Veterans Memorial Park. This statue commemorates the Bedford Minutemen, who marched from Bedford to Concord to join the early battles of the Revolutionary War. Every year on the third Monday in April, Bedford and the surrounding communities take the day off to celebrate Patriots’ Day.
